| Kevin Roberts is preparing to play his part in helping the Blues pocket three valuable derby day points. |
The Chester City central midfielder still remembers the elation he experienced when he scored a stunning volley for the Blues in a 2-2 draw with Wrexham at The Racecourse in November 2007.
And now he's hoping to be part of an away day victory for the Blues at their cross-border neighbours this Sunday (12 noon kick-off).
He said: "I'll remember scoring my goal against Wrexham for the rest of my career because it was the best feeling I've ever had as a Chester City player.

| "It was a good goal and the best I've ever scored, but I would settle for any of the Chester team to score a winning goal on Sunday.
"Three points are the most important thing to everyone concerned at the club in the position we're in at the moment."
Liverpool-born Roberts, 20, made his debut for Chester as a substitute in the club's Carling Cup first round home tie against Nottingham Forest in August 2007, which eventually resulted in a 4-2 defeat for City on penalties.
And he explained why he is eagerly anticipating this Sunday's clash at The Racecourse against Wrexham, adding: "To play in a Chester-Wrexham derby match is brilliant.
"The first time I played in a Chester-Wrexham derby match was a bit of a shock to the system and I struggled to get my head around the pace and the intensity of the game and I was amazed to see all sorts of tackles flying in.
"But I'm a more experienced player now and I'd like to think I can handle the atmosphere of a derby match a lot better than my first derby appearance.
"John Danby, Shaun Kelly and Glenn Rule are the only players left in the current Chester squad who experienced our last match against Wrexham, but I'm hoping we can come home this time with all three points so that we can give our fans something to cheer.
"A victory at Wrexham would give us a lot of confidence and I'm sure it would also encourage a few of our fans to return, get behind us, and help us claw our way to safety."
Roberts, who has scored seven goals so far during his career with the Blues, is relishing the challenge ahead as a central midfielder.
He said: "My preferred position is in defence, but I'm not too bothered about being switched into central midfield as long as I'm a regular in the Chester team.
"My midfield role gives me more freedom and a few more opportunities to go forward and help out our forwards.
"But all the lads are really working hard and we've got a good bunch of players - but we desperately need to start getting a few wins under our belts if we're going to get out of our difficult position at the foot of the league table."
n Chester City travel to Marine tonight for their FA Youth Cup first qualifying round tie.
The Blues suffered a 1-0 defeat at Bury in their Youth Alliance League match at the weekend. |
